Edit templates & themes

Customize your forum's HTML templates and CSS safely.

MyBB's look is driven by templates (HTML) and stylesheets (CSS), both editable in the ACP.

Templates: Templates & Style → Templates — the HTML for headers, post bits, pages and more.
Stylesheets: Templates & Style → Themes → [your theme] — global.css and other sheets.

Duplicate the default template set before editing so you can always revert. Edited templates are highlighted in the list.

You can also edit theme files over SFTP, but template changes are best made in the ACP so MyBB tracks them.
